Learn about the AVN, our objectives and commitments to the greater community.
We remain committed to fostering open dialogue, protecting freedom of speech, and ensuring individuals have the right to make informed decisions about vaccination.
In 1994, amidst concerns about the emphasis on vaccination benefits while downplaying risks, the AVN was formed as a volunteer-run community organisation. Our objectives include:
Facilitating conversations based on medically-referenced information about vaccine safety and effectiveness.
Advocating to ensure that vaccinations are never made compulsory for Australian children.
Providing support for those choosing not to vaccinate or opting for selective vaccination.
The AVN, an incorporated association since November 1994, was initiated by concerned parents and health professionals who perceived a lack of scientifically-based information regarding the ‘other side’ of the vaccination issue
From our inception, the AVN operated as a volunteer-run organisation, funded solely by membership fees and sales of books, videos, and DVDs in our webshop.
The AVN is a supportive organisation that respects a broad range of opinions – and we’re not alone!
