Moderna mRNA vaccine bound for our shores

Pharmaceutical company Moderna has done a deal with the Australian government to provide 25 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine to the nation. Moderna said it would submit an application “shortly” for regulatory approval from Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). If that is successful then Moderna would join both AstraZeneca and Pfizer as vaccines approved for use for Australians.

Bad news but perhaps this was always the goal. Moderna describes its product as being like an operating system on your computer.

Moderna describes it’s mRNA technology:

Recognizing the broad potential of mRNA science, we set out to create an mRNA technology platform that functions very much like an operating system on a computer. It is designed so that it can plug and play interchangeably with different programs. In our case, the “program” or “app” is our mRNA drug – the unique mRNA sequence that codes for a protein.

It is an experimental gene therapy, an unapproved plug and play around with your genes. The Moderna injection also contains an experimental adjuvant which is in the patent and is yet to be licensed for use in any human vaccine. When the messenger RNA is injected into the body it starts to create a protein called Flagellin leading to a huge and out of control antibody response. The higher the antibody level the more severe the reaction. Flagellin is found in bacteria such as Salmonella, which use it in their tails, or flagella, to propel themselves around. Sometimes it’s made by detaching the tails from bacteria – though more recently it’s become common to grow it in genetically modified cells.

Mandatory COVID vaccines?

The public discourse has turned its attention to vaccine hesitancy…

A study by The University of Western Australia and Sydney University has found three-quarters of Australians support a mandatory COVID vaccination for work, study, and travel.

The researchers surveyed 1200 people last year and results indicate more Australians are advocates for mandatory vaccination (73 per cent) compared to how many would feel comfortable getting the vaccine themselves (66 per cent).

But then don’t believe everything that you read…

How can you assess what Australians support from a study of only 1200 people? And another thing why would more of those surveyed support mandatory jabs than the number who would agree to getting the injection themselves?

…results indicate more Australians are advocates for mandatory vaccination (73 per cent) compared to how many would feel comfortable getting the vaccine themselves (66 per cent).

It is a bizarre study but one that may be used by the government to suggest that Aussies support mandatory vaccines.

Is that where we are going? And if the government doesn’t make it mandatory then there are industries which may insist their workers get the jab.

Mandates for influenza vaccines for aged care staff

Visitors and workers in aged care facilities must have a flu vaccination under state and territory directions put in place last flu season. Presently three states, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia do not currently require influenza vaccination to enter aged care facilities.

However in NSW an aged care worker who was sacked for refusing a flu shot has failed to get her job back after the national industrial tribunal ruled her employer had correctly followed government health directions. Jennifer Kimber, who had done clerical work at the community-owned Imlay House aged care home on the NSW far south coast town of Pambula since 2008, lost her job in July after declining the flu vaccine. Ms Kimber told the tribunal that she suffered a severe allergic reaction following a previous flu vaccine which resulted in a rash and swelling of her face and neck for which she had been given a medical exemption.

Fair Work commissioner Donna McKenna ruled Ms Kimber had not shown her reaction was caused by the flu vaccine.

“There was no medical evidence whatsoever of a contemporaneous diagnosis that the condition as described was attributable to the 2016 flu shot,” Ms McKenna said.

Ms Kimber is to appeal against the decision.

The Government can technically make the COVID-19 vaccine mandatory because of their broad powers in a public health emergency under the Commonwealth Biosecurity Act 2015, and other State and Territory public health legislation.

But governments can only do so provided the vaccine is safe, according to Hall & Wilcox partner Alison Choy-Flannigan

Arguably, the power can only be used if the vaccine is safe and approved … and exceptions are made for those people who are allergic to the vaccine

Blood clots after one dose of the Pfizer vaccine

Meanwhile the vaccine injuries are increasing and are now occurring in our teens

The mother of a 17-year-old, whose symptoms were initially dismissed as a pulled neck muscle, said she regrets her decision to allow him to be vaccinated.

A Utah teen remains hospitalized with three blood clots in and near his brain that developed after he received the first dose of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine.

Everest Romney, 17, received the vaccine April 21 and began experiencing neck pain, fever and severe headaches one day later.

Everest was released from the ICU May 5, but has a long way to go. His mother said it’s unclear how long he will be in the hospital.

Incredibly the CDC and Pfizer are denying blood clot risks

After administering nearly 100 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, the CDC reported there hasn’t been a single related case of a blood clot forming in the brain as of April 12.

However according to a search which included reports of blood clots associated with blood clotting disorders

VAERS yielded a total of 2,808 reports for all three vaccines from Dec. 14, 2020, through April 30. Of the 2,808 cases reported, there were 1,043 reports of blood clotting disorders attributed to Pfizer.
