Pfizer vaccine is approved for use in Australia

On January 25, exactly a year after Australia confirmed its first case of the virus – the TGA gave provisional approval for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for use in Australia. This vaccine developed by Pfizer and Germany company BioNTech, contains genetic material messenger called mRNA. The mRNA vaccines have not been used before and must be considered experimental. Indeed many experts state they should not be called vaccines at all.

A vaccine for this is a misnomer. It is not a vaccine. It is an intermediary product which leads to the production of a protein that generates a so-called “vaccine”… and it is genetic engineering that has never been tested out in human beings before. And if it causes a problem a year, two years, five years down the line, and it has already been given to billions of people worldwide, it’s too late. TGA provisionally approves Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has granted provisional approval to Pfizer Australia Pty Ltd for its COVID-19 vaccine, COMIRNATY, making it the first COVID-19 vaccine to receive regulatory approval in Australia. Following a thorough and independent review of Pfizer’s submission, the TGA has decided that this vaccine meets the high safety, efficacy and quality standards required for use in Australia. COMIRNATY is provisionally approved and included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) for active immunisation to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by SARS-CoV-2, in individuals 16 years of age and older.

An early coronavirus vaccine rollout? Be careful what you wish for…

The author of this article Dr Rocco Loiacono,  Senior Lecturer at the Curtin University Law School points out the real problems with this rapid roll out of COVID vaccines. He refers to Professor Paolo Bellavite, of the University of Verona Medical School who argues that the Pfizer vaccine clinical trials concluded far too soon. Bellavite notes the Pfizer trials do not address younger adolescents, children, and pregnant women. Loiacono’s article includes the concerns of Dr Michael Yeadon, a former vice-president of Pfizer who warns that the vaccine may prevent the safe development of placentas in pregnant women, resulting in “vaccinated women essentially becoming infertile.” It seems none of the coronavirus vaccine candidates have conducted fertility testing. There are other serious ethical concerns with the Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Novavax vaccines, since they have either been derived from the cell lines of an electively aborted foetus or laboratory testing of them has been conducted utilising such cell lines.

One has to wonder how they can sell this vaccine at all when you consider this statement from the WHO’s chief scientist, Dr Soumya Swaminathan:

I don’t believe we have the evidence on any of the vaccines to be confident that it’s going to prevent people from actually getting the infection and therefore being able to pass it on.

Federal Government’s Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine advertising ‘crucial’ to uptake, expert says

A new advertising campaign encouraging Australians to get a COVID-19 vaccination is due to starts this week, with the Federal Government insisting the jabs will be safe and effective. Health Minister Greg Hunt said the $24 million advertising campaign would be rolled out across TV, radio, print, social and digital media.

Push for new laws to tackle COVID-19 misinformation ahead of vaccine rollout

Immunisation and technology experts are urging Federal Parliament to pass new laws requiring social media giants to maintain a list of the most viral COVID-19 material to help combat misinformation as Australia prepares to roll out a vaccine.

The Doherty Institute in Melbourne, which has undertaken pivotal research informing Australia’s COVID-19 response, is among several health organisations that have signed an open letter urging politicians to act immediately to demand transparency from companies such as Facebook and Google. The letter will also be sent to every federal politician. The campaign is being led by responsible technology advocacy group Reset Australia, and has also been backed by the Immunisation Coalition and the Immunisation Foundation of Australia.

Home Run King Hank Aaron Dies of ‘Undisclosed Cause’ 18 Days After Receiving Moderna Vaccine

The 86-year-old sports icon received the first of two doses of Moderna’s vaccine on Jan. 5, in an attempt to inspire other Black Americans to step up to the plate and get the vaccine. According to the New York Times, the Atlanta Braves confirmed the 86-year-old Hall of Famer’s death today, but did not provide further details. CNN reported that Aaron died “peacefully in his sleep,” and that no cause of death was disclosed.

On learning of Aaron’s death, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., chairman and chief legal counsel for Children’s Health Defense, said: “Aaron’s tragic death is part of a wave of suspicious deaths among elderly closely following administration of COVID vaccines.”

The Hall of Famer died of natural causes, the medical examiner said. That hasn’t stopped people from linking his death to the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office said Monday that Aaron, considered one of the greatest all-around players in baseball history, died of natural causes.

Healthcare Worker Dies 4 Days After Second Pfizer Vaccine, Death Under Investigation

The wife of Tim Zook, a 60-year-old x-ray technician who became seriously ill hours after getting his second Pfizer vaccine and died four days later, says “we need to know the cause.” Tim Zook was “quite healthy” his wife said, though he took medication for high blood pressure and was slightly overweight. “He had never been hospitalized. He’d get a cold and be over it two days later. The flu, and be over it three days later.”
