Our members have been blessing us with an outpouring of love, the likes of which we have never seen! We wanted to share with you, some of the letters we've gotten as well as some of the letters that have been sent to media outlets over the last few days due to the (mostly biased) coverage of the HCCC's demand that the AVN put certain statements on their website. The AVN has helped many families over the years - it's wonderful to know that when the going gets tough, these wonderful people come together to show us some support of their own!

Thank you very much for airing your segment this morning regarding vaccinations. It is important that the public be made aware that there are two sides to this very controversial issue.

I am a mother who does not vaccinate her children after doing a lot of research into the topic. My children are wonderfully healthy and happy and I am very confident of my decision.

I send a lot of information to all the pregnant women that I know just so they are making an INFORMED decision to vaccinate, and are not just following the pack. If they choose to vaccinate after this research then that is their decision. All I ask is that my decision also be respected.

I know people that have had reactions to vaccines. One young girl was permanently brain damaged and will remain 5 years old for the rest of her life.

The Gardasil vaccine has been particularly damaging and thus far there have been 62 deaths reported in the USA as well as over 18000 adverse reactions. Please verify this for yourself via medalerts.org where the public can check what has been reported to the government.

This issue will not go away. Every year more and more people are being damaged, and they have voices.

The latest episode in WA where lots of children had adverse reactions to the new flu vaccine has a lot more parents asking questions.

Please cover this topic more fully on your program, although I realise there will be a lot of pressure on you not to.

I am writing you to express my gratitude for ongoing support we, as a family received over the years in dealing with our vaccine injured children.

I am an autism dad with two children diagnosed with autism. Both my children regressed in their development after receiving full dosage of childhood vaccines. Their physical health also deteriorated. They presented with the symptoms that completely correspond with those described in “Surveillance of adverse events following immunization” by World Health Organisation.

The symptoms they experienced were as follows:

• change in bowel patterns,
• loss of ability,
• skin rash,
• breathing difficulties,
• change in sleep patterns,
• change in behaviour,
• bruises on legs; some of these noticeable
• within days or day after adminiatration of vaccines.

We approached our family physician on this, but were quickly dismissed; he never heard of these sort of reactions. It was only after we found out about your organisation, AVN, that we were able to report these adverse reactions through the ADRAC database.

Nobody has ever approached us about this ever.

After these events, we decided not to continue with the childhood vaccination programmes, as it was obvious it offers more harm then protection in case of our family. We attemted to lodge in a "Conscientious

Objection" form, but were refused one both from Centrelink and our family GP. So, we had to turn again to your help and obtain the form.

Our boys were subsequently diagnosed with autism.

Dear Meryl, I wish also to thank you for being a voice for our family and for our boys as they have none. In contrast of the popular view that autism is some mystical, exotic condition and not much else, I can assure everyone that this a debilitating long term condition. My children at 11 and 12 years of age cannot talk, cannot care for themselves are not potty trained and require constant around the clock supervision.

This cost us and the taxpayers a huge amount of money. Only my wife wife can work, and I have to stay at home as one of children is not able to attend school full time. He is just being simply returned home and often threatened by expulsion. I do not have any more Supperannuation, Work Cover or any other entitlements and will be on Governments handouts for the rest of my life, as well as my children.

I have managed to establish some communication with the boys recently through some extraordinary methods and technical aids and what they are saying to me is that they have always been able to speak silently, but

never able to express this by speech or by use of their hands. They always wanted to play with other children and fully participate in the life, but their bodies wouldn't let them do so.

We had very little support from the medical profession as it is declared that the cause for this condition is unkonwn and there is little help. So, any support is being appreciated and you have been one those who helped us and for that we are very thankful.
